Baylor University Medical Center Breast Imaging Fellowship
 |
The Breast Imaging Fellowship program is offered at the Baylor Sammons Breast Imaging Center at Baylor University Medical Center.
The Baylor Sammons Breast Imaging Center provides a full range of breast imaging services. Our comprehensive mammography service includes screening mammography using both film and digital technologies, computer-assisted detection of breast abnormalities, and breast ultrasound. Breast MRI examinations are available nearby on the same Baylor campus.
Interventional procedures available at the Breast Imaging Center include cyst aspiration, ductography, pre-operative needle localization, and image-guided breast needle biopsy using both ultrasound and mammogram guidance. The Breast Imaging Center is equipped with one GE Senographe 2000D full-field digital mammography unit, multiple film-screen mammography units, one Lorad MultiCare Breast Biopsy prone stereotactic unit, and four GE Logiq 400 Pro Series sonographic units.
The staff of the Baylor Sammons Breast Imaging Center includes registered radiologic technologists and six fellowship-trained and board-certified radiologists. Because over 50,000 mammograms and interventional procedures are performed yearly at the Breast Imaging Center and on the mobile mammography vans, our staff members have become experts in their field. Our radiologists are also available to give a second opinion for mammograms that are performed elsewhere. |
