The war on cancer: a report from the front lines

It has been over 35 years since President Nixon declared "war" on cancer. This war has had its victories and its failures. In this article I describe some of the techniques that have been developed or refined over the last 35 years in this ongoing battle and provide some specific examples of how they are employed.
